Review~

It's been more than a month since the release of the A level results. Can't believe time flew past that fast.
And in a few days time, or should I say this Friday, it's ORIENTATION.
As I promised, the place that I'd be heading to is NYP. -insert all the petrified faces and screams-
I'll be taking up physiotherapy for 3 years in NYP, then the degree in 1 year in SIT. -insert judging faces-
To clear misunderstandings:
1. THIS IS NOT A NURSE COURSE.
2. It's definitely not for people who cannot make it to uni, -it's not an easy course- #justsaying
Although, I've gotta admit that I was rather disappointed at first when I first received my results.
The point in life when you realise that you haven't gotten a single A, yes, that's when you come to realise that getting into the course you've desired from the start was rather impossible.
Education system in Singapore is made for the elites, having that A is so important, without it, life just seems so impossible, many doors shut before you.
But as the phrase goes, "When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us," Alexander Graham Bell.
I believe that physio is that door that opened itself towards me and I truly hope that it wouldn't be a path that I'd regret.
Besides, brooding over the matter ain't gonna bring me far, applied for the courses in the respective universities too, maybe then, I might move onto another path, but for now, I cherish the chance that I'm given here at physiotherapy and shall will must do my best.
I doubt I'll be able to handle another slip again.
Just because I couldn't head towards the path that I really wanted doesn't mean that it's the end.
Well, having a degree in a particular course doesn't mean that you'll definitely head there in the end.
Many people nowadays switch career paths in the midst, some cause they realise that it wasn't the path suited for them, and search for other routes, others just want to have a taste of the different careers available.
Witnessed many cases, like the accountant at my previous workplace, well he was a NUS degree holder in Chemistry, yet he took up ACCA and switched to becoming an accountant instead.
Closer to heart, my couz was a NTU degree holder in BioChem but now she's working as a managerial position.
I guess, getting a degree is just a passport to the working world, ain't it??
Maybe I'm wrong, well, I might have a different view in the future ;)

p.s. I'm not really looking forward to orientation, yes, veh contradicting but aish, we shall see.
p.s.s. I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO ZOO TMR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
